Source & Citation Standards

Source & Citation Standards

BSGroup.tv commits to journalistic integrity and factual accuracy. Our content relies on verifiable information to maintain reader trust. These standards outline how we select, verify, and present sources in our articles.

Authoritative Sources

We consider specific source types reliable for our content. These include official government reports, established academic journals, and peer-reviewed research. Reputable news organizations with strong editorial policies also serve as trusted sources. We accept direct statements and press releases from official company channels.

Citation Format

Our articles use a clear and accessible citation format. For online information, we provide in-text hyperlinks directly to the source. When referencing offline material or physical documents, we clearly name the source within the article text. We aim for transparency in all references.

Source Verification

Every source undergoes careful verification before inclusion. Our editorial team checks the authenticity and reliability of all information. This process involves cross-referencing facts against multiple independent sources. We also assess the author’s credentials and the publication’s reputation.

Anonymous and Unnamed Sources

We use anonymous or unnamed sources only in exceptional circumstances. This occurs when the information is critical and revealing the source would place them at risk. Such instances require corroboration from at least two other reliable sources. Editorial management must approve any use of unnamed sources.

Primary Over Secondary Sources

BSGroup.tv prioritizes primary sources whenever possible. This includes original research, direct interviews, and firsthand official documents. We use secondary sources for context or analysis, but always attribute them. We ensure any secondary source is backed by solid primary data.

Reader Verification

Readers can easily verify our cited sources. Online sources include direct links you can click to view the original material. For non-linked references, we provide sufficient detail within the article to locate the source independently. You can send questions about any source to [email protected].

Handling Disputed Sources

We take challenges to our sources seriously. If a reader disputes a source, our editorial team investigates the claim. We re-evaluate the source’s validity and accuracy. Should we find an error, we issue a correction promptly and update the article. Please direct any disputes to [email protected].
